Since the country put new energy into strategic development positioning, new energy electric vehicles have ushered in spring, and the supporting lithium battery industry has rapidly developed. However, while developing, it is also necessary to fully consider the safety of power battery use, especially in recent months, when electric vehicles have experienced spontaneous combustion incidents, the safety of new energy vehicles has once again been pushed to the forefront.

On the early morning of July 7th, in an underground parking lot of a residential area in Changsha County, a red electric car parked in the parking space emitted thick smoke from the rear. After receiving the alarm, firefighters quickly rushed to the scene and controlled the fire.

On the afternoon of July 5th, at a charging station in Hongshan District, Wuhan, an electric vehicle suddenly emitted billowing black smoke, mainly from below the rear of the vehicle, and there was no open flame at the scene.

Recently, according to media reports, another new energy vehicle caught fire inside the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Auto Expo Center, with thick smoke emitting from the vehicle's battery position.

On June 18th, a new energy vehicle caught fire and exploded in a logistics park. The explosion accident is very similar to the Shanghai electric vehicle spontaneous combustion accident in April. First, a large amount of thick smoke was produced at the chassis position of the vehicle, and then a sudden fire and explosion occurred, which attracted attention from all walks of life.

Ouyang Minggao, academician of the CAS Member and vice chairman of the China Electric Vehicle Hundred People Association, pointed out that "the essence of new energy vehicle safety accidents is battery thermal runaway." In response to this problem, Zhongke Zhonghuan designed a lithium-ion power battery box fire prevention and control device. This technology, through the fire protection product technology appraisal of the Fire Product Conformity Assessment Center of the Emergency Management Department, can real-time monitor the early fire phenomenon in each power battery box of the vehicle, achieve early intervention and efficient fire fighting, and effectively reduce losses to the minimum.

In the current severe safety situation of new energy vehicles, Zhongke Zhonghuan will continue to deepen its research and development in the field of traffic safety technology, relieve concerns for the development of new energy vehicles, fully ensure the safe operation of national new energy electric vehicles, and better safeguard the safety of passengers.
