The first International Lithium Battery Fire Safety Symposium was held from July 18-20, 2019 at the Swan Lake Hotel in Hefei, China. It was hosted by the University of Science and Technology of China and jointly organized by the Chemical Safety Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and the Zhongguancun Energy Storage Industry Technology Alliance. The purpose of this seminar is to establish a lithium battery fire safety technology exchange platform for scholars from top universities, research institutes, and industry companies around the world. The seminar covers various fields of lithium battery fire safety research, such as thermal runaway mechanism, fire dynamics, and fire extinguishing.
Since the 1990s, lithium based batteries have been widely used in portable electronic devices, electric vehicles, electrochemical energy storage stations, and other power systems. During the application process, battery fire accidents occur frequently, and battery safety has become a research hotspot.
As the co organizer of this conference, Dr. Ge, the Technical Director of Anhui Zhongke Zhonghuan Defense Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., gave a professional academic report on the application of lithium-ion battery fire control technology.
