1、Horror moment

Since June, temperatures have risen in many places, leading to the occurrence of self ignition accidents of new energy electric vehicles.According to incomplete statistics, the summary of self ignition accidents of electric vehicles in June is as follows:

On the evening of June 5th,an electric vehicle suddenly caught fire while charging in the underground parking lot of Liantai Wantaicheng Community in Jiujiang City,Jiangxi Province, with electric sparks continuously erupting at the scene.

Around 1pm on June 11th,an electric car caught fire on the way from Zhuoshui to the county town in Sanyang Township,Pingjiang County,Yueyang City,Hunan Province.

At around 7:40 pm on June 13th,an electric car caught fire near Baiyun Community in Yancuo Town,Zhangzhou,Fujian.

On the evening of June 20th,near the Weicuo bus stop on Century Avenue in Luoshan Street,an electric truck suddenly emitted a large amount of irritating white smoke from the bottom of the vehicle towards the direction of the She Dian light control. It then caught fire and the flames were fierce.

On the morning of June 22nd,a new energy electric vehicle caught fire and emitted smoke at the State Grid charging station on Ruixing Road in Baoding City.

At around 12:57 noon on June 26th,on a bridge in Huaxi District,Guiyang City,a black electric vehicle that was driving normally suddenly started smoking and catching fire at the rear, igniting a white vehicle following behind, causing traffic to be temporarily interrupted on that section of the road.

On the morning of June 27th,the rear wheel of a new energy vehicle parked in the parking lot suddenly caught fire, and there were hundreds of cars on site.

On the morning of June 28th at 5 o'clock,a new energy vehicle caught fire in the underground garage of Shengao Xixi Mingzuo in Hangzhou.

2、Industry Trends

Due to concerns about the safety hazards of electric vehicles,as early as May 29th,the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on the implementation of mandatory national standards for electric vehicles:in the"Announcement"product access management, three standards,"Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicles","Safety Requirements for Electric Passenger Cars",and"Safety Requirements for Power Batteries for Electric Vehicles",were implemented in advance. The standards added a thermal diffusion test for the power system, requiring that in the event of thermal runaway of a battery cell, the system should not catch fire or explode within 5 minutes, reserving a safe escape time for passengers.

On June 2nd,the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a meeting to strengthen the safety supervision of new energy vehicles, calling for the strengthening of the construction of the after-sales service system for new energy vehicles. For vehicles with problems, necessary measures should be taken to eliminate hidden dangers and resolutely curb the occurrence of new energy vehicle safety accidents.

On June 8th,in order to further standardize the safety standards of new energy vehicles, the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on conducting safety hazard inspections for new energy vehicles, focusing on identifying safety hazards in batteries.

3、Technical defense measures

Dr.Wang Fang,a professor level senior engineer and the main drafter of the"Safety Requirements for Power Batteries for Electric Vehicles,"said,"In general, the ultimate form of fire in electric vehicles is thermal runaway of the battery. The comprehensive safety technology and evaluation of the battery is a systematic engineering. The battery is an electrochemical carrier, and its state is constantly changing throughout its entire life cycle. The possibility of thermal runaway also exists forever

In response to the significant demand for lithium-ion battery fire prevention and control technology, Zhongke Zhonghuan has systematically studied the incubation mechanism and evolution law of lithium-ion battery fires, focusing on basic scientific issues such as unclear mechanisms, complex behaviors, and difficulties in prevention and control. At the three levels of "intrinsic safety, process safety, and fire safety", Zhongke Zhonghuan has developed the "three lines of defense" for battery fire prevention and control, and created an electric vehicle lithium-ion power battery box fire prevention and control product.

This product has passed the type inspection of the National Fixed Fire Extinguishing System and Fire resistant Component Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, and has obtained the Fire Product Technical Appraisal Certificate from the Fire Product Qualification Assessment Center of the Ministry of Public Security. The research results have been transformed and applied in the fields of electrochemical energy storage safety prevention and control, public transportation safety, and other security fields, providing an efficient, reliable, and intelligent solution for thermal runaway of new energy electric vehicles.

Spontaneous combustion accidents are more severe than tigers, and summer is the peak season for car spontaneous combustion accidents. Spontaneous combustion not only causes serious economic losses to car owners, but may even endanger their lives. Car owners should do a good job in safety protection.

汽车自燃如何应对

1.Strengthen daily inspections of vehicles, regularly maintain circuits and oil circuits.

2.Do not place flammable and explosive materials in the car.

3.Pay attention to whether there are flammable debris at the exhaust pipe when parking.

4.Do not modify the car without authorization.

5.Pay attention to any unusual odor inside the car.If you notice any abnormal oil or burnt smell, please conduct timely maintenance.

6.Always keep a fire extinguisher in the car.If the fire cannot be extinguished within 30 seconds and the flames intensify, you should leave as soon as possible.
